Welcome to our Persona 5 Royal walkthrough. Here, we’re going to be guiding you through all ten playable months of the game, making sure you’ll make it to the true ending with all confidant ranks and social stats maxed out — not to mention popping that shiny platinum on your first run of the game.

July Walkthrough

This is the month where you’ll really be ramping up on getting all the social stat prerequisites to open up key confidants. It’s also one of the most expensive months story-wise, as you’ll be coughing up 100,000 yen to open up the Fortune confidant early in the month, as well as periodically buying fortune readings for various things.

Again, a reminder — it is absolutely essential to stay on schedule for the Temperance and Chariot confidants.

You'll need High Priestess, Temperance, Emperor, Lovers, Faith, Fortune, Devil, Justice, Chariot, Hanged Man, and Star arcana personas for this month. If you haven't obtained these already, you can easily get some by visiting the Velvet Room on Central Steet and fusing some common personas.

7/1 Friday

• Read "Zorro the Outlaw" on the train. (Kindness +5)
• Class answer: "Barbarian's head." (Knowledge +2)

Daytime:

• Go to Shibuya and purchase "Ghost Encounters" from the bookstore.
• Go into the Velvet Room in Shibuya and obtain a High Priestess Arcana Persona, either by re-summoning from your Inmate Registry or by fusing.
• Go to the school library and return "Zorro the Outlaw", then take out "Speed Reader".
• Speak to Makoto outside of the library and agree to spend time with her. (Your answers don't really matter as she will rank up regardless.)

• Choose "The red-light district next."

Evening:

• Call Kawakami on the payphone in Leblanc with a Temperance Persona equipped.
• Choose "Is this really what you want?"
• Choose "If that's what you've decided."
• Choose any option.

7/2 Saturday

• Read "Speed Reader" in class. (Unlocks the ability to read two chapters at a time from now on.)
• Automatic event with Kawakami, and you'll receive a Mementos mission.

Daytime:

• Go to the school library and return "Speed Reader", then take out "The Illusory Popess".
• Go to the Underground Walkway in Shibuya and agree to hang out with Yusuke with an Emperor Persona equipped.
• Choose "I should bring a girl here."
• Choose "Love comes in all forms."

• On the Phone: Choose "Don't get discouraged."

Evening:

• Make sure you have a Chariot and a Temperance arcana persona in your stock.
• Travel to Shinjuku and speak with Chihaya — Pay her ¥100,000 for the Holy Stone. (This is important as a prerequisite event for unlocking the Fortune confidant.)
• Accept Ryuji’s invitation to go fishing. (This unlocks Ichigaya.)

7/3 Sunday

Daytime:

• Automatic fishing date with Ryuji.
• Choose "This is shady."
• Choose any option.
• Choose any option.

Evening:

• (Optional) Interact with the TV in Leblanc for the Home Shopping Channel — Body Building Set (¥12,800) is our recommended purchase.
• Purchase Onsen Aojiru (¥5,000) from the drink stand in the Underground Walkway in Shibuya. (Kindness +2).
• Travel to Kanda and speak to the priest to unlock the confessional feature.
• (Optional) Purchase any items you want from the priest. You can purchase items every Sunday.
• Talk to Yoshida in Station Square. (Your answers don't really matter, as he will rank up regardless.) (Charm +3)

• Speak to Makoto outside of the school library and agree to spend time with her (or via her DM message) with a High Priestess Persona equipped.
• Choose "You're very well informed."
• Choose "That was dangerous."

• Choose any option.
• On the Phone: Choose "Couldn't agree more."

Evening:

• Go and play billiards with Ann in Kichijoji. This is super important for ensuring you have enough stat increases to progress her Confidant rank at the next stage.

7/6 Wednesday

• Read "The Illusory Popess" in class. (Kindness +5)

Daytime:

• (Optional) Buy SP recovery items from the vending machines near the Bathhouse, medicine, or equipment.
• Double-check you have a Lovers Persona equipped for an automatic class event with Ann tomorrow.
• Infiltrate Mementos and complete all requests.

Evening:

• Study at Leblanc in the middle booth. (Knowledge +5) (Speak to the customers twice to get them to leave and free up the table)

7/7 Thursday

• Class answer: "The Milky Way." followed by "Soumen noodles." (Charm +2)

Daytime:

• Go to the school library and return "The Illusory Popess", then take out "The Great Thief".
• Sell all your treasure to Iwai in the Airsoft Shop in Shibuya and sell all your Sooty Armor to the Secondhand Clothes Shop in Kichijoji.
• Speak to Kasumi in Kichijoji and agree to hang out with her (or respond to her DM) with a Faith Persona equipped.
• Choose "You're looking to buy?"
• Choose "A pretty modern look."
• Choose any option.
• Choose "Of course."
• Choose any option.
• Choose "Good choice."
• Choose any option.
• Choose "Everyone deals with that."
• Choose "We'll work at it together."

• On the Phone: Choose "I'm glad to hear that."

• Travel to Shinjuku and speak to Chihaya to tell her the result. (Your answers don't really matter, as she will rank up regardless.)

• Read "The Art of Charm" on the train. (Charm +5)

• Go and speak to Ann in the Underground Mall and agree to hang out with her with a Lovers persona equipped.
• Choose "She admires you."

• Buy more Mega Fertilizer (¥3,000) from Shinjuku if you need it.

• Chalk will be thrown at you and you have a 66 percent chance of successfully dodging it. If you do not dodge it — then reload your save file. You need to dodge it for the stat increase: (Charm +3).

• Go to Kanda and speak to Hifumi with a Star persona equipped.

• At night, on the phone, choose "Commit." to accept Akechi's invitation. This opens Shinagawa Aquarium.

7/29 Friday

Daytime:

• Automatic trip with Akechi to the aquarium because you agreed to the date.
• Choose "It's a nice place."
• Choose any option.
• Choose "Keep it quiet, please..."
• Choose "If you like."
• Choose "What of it."

Evening:

• Go to the Velvet Room and take this opportunity to complete your next request from the twins. You'll need a Setanta with Rakukaja. After fusing it, speak to them in the Velvet Dungeon to complete the request. This unlocks 'Special Treatment'. Their next request is a Neko Shogun with the skill Dekaja, but we'll sort that out later.

• Make sure you have a Hanged Man persona on you (grab one from the Velvet Room if you need to.)
• Go to the Airsoft Shop in Shibuya and speak to Iwai, choose "I want to talk about the bag."
• Choose any options during your conversation in the store, as all result in the same skill ups.

• After the confidant unlocks, choose "So what's my first job?"

7/30 Saturday

Daytime:

• Get a Luck Fortune Reading (¥5,000) from Chihaya in Shinjuku and choose "Guts".
• Go and speak to Ann in the Underground Mall and agree to hang out with her with a Lovers persona equipped.
• Choose "You have some real guts."
• Choose any option.
• Choose any option.
• Choose any option.

• On the phone, choose "That's probably it." or "You can ask her yourself."

Evening:

• Travel to Kichijoji and interact with the Donut Shop across the street from Stoneon and Penguin Sniper. It's a black door just southeast from Akechi, on the same street. Pick any answer. (Guts +3)
• Travel to Shinjuku and speak with Chihaya with a Fortune persona equipped and do a verification test. This is just a general event to increase your relationship.

7/31 Sunday

Daytime:

• Leave the hangout and go and get a Luck Fortune Reading (¥5,000) from Chihaya in Shinjuku and choose "Charm".
• Purchase Beauty Aojiru (¥5,000) from the drink stand in the Underground Walkway in Shibuya. (Charm +3).
• (Optional) Purchase any items you want from the priest in Kanda.
• (Optional) Buy SP recovery items from the vending machines near the Bathhouse, medicine, or equipment.
• Meet with the others at the hangout in Leblanc's attic and secure the infiltration route at the palace.

Evening:

• Call Kawakami from Leblanc and ask for a massage.
• Once you've secured the route to the treasure, you'll unlock the Gallows Execution to strengthen personas in the Velvet Room. Do this to unlock the related trophy/achievement. Save beforehand and reload your save if you don't actually want to stick with your choice.

• Travel to Shinjuku, go to the Velvet Room, and fuse a Neko Shogun with Dekaja for the twins, which should be easy to do now you've encountered Anzu in Futaba's palace. Next, they'll want a Lacheisis with Tetraja, which we'll get to later.

• Speak with Chihaya in Shinjuku with a Fortune persona equipped and do a verification test.
• Choose any answer.
• Choose "Trust in yourself."
• Choose any answer.
• Choose any answer.
• Choose any answer.

• On the phone, choose "I didn't do much."
